Oceanic Esports Cosplay Cup

Posted by Oceanic Esports August 2, 2020 in CosplayEventsNEWS

Welcome to the first Oceanic Esports Online Cosplay Competition! This competition is to demonstrate and celebrate the Australian and New Zealand cosplay community. It’s hard to have a large spectacle event right now, now we’ve decided to make it a spectacle online!

We’re going to be bringing on some of the most recognised cosplayers from the community as judges and this competition is open to anyone that wishes to enter (Australian and New Zealand residents only, sorry!). Before you enter, be sure to read the full rules, terms and conditions down below.

You can sign up to the Craftsmanship/Esports category here!
You can sign up to the Public Vote category here

How it works

This competition comes in three(3) categories: Public Vote, Craftsmanship (no skit category) and esports category. All images will be posted online, from the entries that have selected the Craftsmanship option the judges will decide on finalists based on their submission. If you don’t make it to the final, you’ll still be eligible for the public vote (if you have entered).

The finalists will be required to be on a video call with the judges to talk about their costume and process. You may also be asked to provide additional information or images in reference to your costume prior to your session as well. If you make it to the final you will also be required to make a short video in costume for use on a live stream. We’ll send you more information on this if you make it to the final.

The public vote is exactly how it sounds – people will vote on your costume’s images, so we encourage, liking, sharing and care reacting (if you so choose) on everything and encouraging your friends and family to do so as well.

To be eligible for the esports category, you will need to cosplay a canon character (No artistic interpretations) from one of the following games: Arena of Valor, Clash Royale, CrossFire, Dota 2, Fortnite, Gears of War, Halo series, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, League of Legends, Marvel vs. Capcom, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Overwatch, Pokémon, Puyo Puyo, Smite, StarCraft Universe, Super Smash Bros., Tekken, TrackMania, Vainglory, World of Warcraft
