Cliffed? No Problem: Motivate.Trust Gaming Secure OEDL Fall Invitational SlotPosted by ESPORTSNEWS April 24, 2021 in
Two more days of the closed qualifier are left for the eight Southeast Asian squads that are vying for the four main event slots to the OEDL Fall Invitational and Motivate.Trust Gaming have already secured their slot.
Never mind the embarrassing moment Souliya “JaCkky” Khoomphetsavong had as Lifestealer versus Army Geniuses for their last game of the tournament phase. Sure, being stuck in a cliff a la Arteezy after Poomipat “Fearless” Trisiripanit’s Ball Lightning into Infest bomb initiation was weird, but it seemed like they are still on the right track.

The Thai representatives have spent the first five days of the closed qualifiers playing all their best-of-two series. In a single round-robin format versus seven Southeast Asian squads, they were able to accumulate four wins and three draws without losing any series.
The OEDL Fall Invitational was the first event that featured the return of Motivate.Trust Gaming’s pre-Dota Pro Circuit 2021 roster. This feared lineup claimed back-to-back championship titles in the BTS Pro Series Season 3: Southeast Asia and DOTA Summit 13 Online: Southeast Asia and is now looking at the inaugural chip of the OEDL Fall Invitational.
With all their series done, all that is left for the Thailand-based Dota 2 squad now is to wait. Eight more best-of-two series will be played by Army Geniuses, Cignal Ultra, Galaxy Racer, Lilgun, Omega Esports, Reckoning Esports, and The Prime to determine the final four teams that will advance to the main event.
