The Oceanic Esports Dota League was organized with the primary intention of developing the competitive Dota 2 scene in the Australia-New Zealand region amidst a global pandemic brought about by the COVID-19. After the success of its inaugural season, the competitive platform for Oceania’s finest returns with a lot more to offer other than your regular fix of top-notch Dota action.

Check out these three exciting programs the Oceanic Esports Dota League Season 2 has in store for you.

Oceanic Esports Cosplay Cup

The Oceanic Esports League is hosting its first-ever online Cosplay Cup to demonstrate and celebrate the region’s cosplay community. Given the postponement of large-scale esports events and conventions, the Oceania-based esports events organizer put up a one-of-a-kind cosplay competition to tap further into various gaming communities during this trying time.

The Cosplay Cup features three categories that taps into a variety of ANZ-based cosplayers: craftsmanship, public vote, and esports. For the craftsmanship category, prominent figures from the cosplay community such as AltF4 Cosplay, TJ Cosplay, and JusZ Cosplay will grace the event as judges.

Aside from the whopping AUD $2,000 prize pool that’s in store for our cosplayers, Oz Comic-Con will also be giving out some double passes to an Oz Comic-Con of the recipients choice and merchandise packs to lucky entrants throughout the duration of the competition!

More details and submission of entries are available on the Oceanic Esports Cosplay Cup page.

Oceanic Esports Dota League Pick’ems

Are you confident about how well you know your ANZ Dota? If you’re looking forward to having it put to test, there’s no better way to do it (and be rewarded!) other than joining the Oceanic Esports Dota League Pick’ems powered by Picklebet.

Pick’ems is an esports tipping platform wherein anyone can join for free. Matches for the Oceanic Esports Dota League Season 2 will be featured and entrants will pick their winners. Entrants who will pick correctly will receive respective match points based on the actual odds for the match offered. These match points will determine the entrant’s position in the leaderboard; the higher your points, the higher your position will be in the ladder.

And for the best part, of course: a total prize pool of $100 will be up for grabs for the Oceanic Esports Dota League Season 2 Pick’ems participants!

Make sure to visit the Picklebet’s official website for more information on how to play.

Oceanic Esports Captain MVP

At its core, the Oceanic Esports League has always been about the nurturing of the region’s finest Dota 2 talents. As we witness weekly how all 10 participants of the tournament juke it out for the legacy that is being crowned as the Oceanic Esports Dota League grand champion, it is only fitting to bestow you the power to choose who among the pool of captains have risen far above the rest.

You can vote among C’s Better’s Sylvos, Spag and Sons’ Spag, Bokebi’s Y-God, NoBKB’s Zavier, Your Soul is Mine’s Wasabi, Sincerely Fury’s Fury, Adio Chula’s Boonz, Power of Friendship’s Shiftsa, Cuteanimegirls’ Loseyourself, and Shadownet’s Kouros1ve for your MVP captain. The team captain who will garner the most number of votes as the Oceanic Esports Captain MVP will be rewarded with a sleek desk upgrade courtesy of Omnidesk.
